My grandmother used to pick up soda bottles. Back then, it was 2 cents per bottle, when 2 cents was worth a lot more than the nickel we get in Massachusetts today. She happened to live in a highly traveled area, and raked it in! She always said to me, the big thing about doing this is, of course: location, location, location. She was a fun lady!
