NPR has an article up talking about Christiane Jory’s book, “The 99 Cent Only Stores Cookbook”. There are good food deals to be found in the “dollar stores” (whose names vary by region). With all the premium that people place on ingredients, this goes to prove that a bit of creativity can overcome a lot.
Keep in mind when bargain shopping to think beyond just coupons and sales. Dollar stores sometimes have bargains beyond nick-nacks and household goods!

It’s been awhile since I ventured into a dollar store. Last time I checked, they didn’t sell food items. I’m gonna have to check this one out. thanks!
