You’ll find that the theme here when it comes to this blog is that I press personal responsibility. For me, that means that you are the one responsibile for how you decide to spend your money. If you cannot afford something, you should not purchase it.

I know this is probably obvious to anyone reading this site, but I came across this article at WAPT.com about coupons on the back of your receipts. I noticed this trend some time ago, and every now and then there are some decent coupons back there. A lot of stores are printing additional savings discounts on the bottom of the coupon as well now.

The Des Moines Register has an article about coupon codes for online purchases. A while back, I was purchasing a gift certificate from restaurant.com and noticed there was a place I could enter a “discount code”. I did a quick google once and came across retailmenot.com.
